Some of the more important information that you need to know regarding
Alaska Airlines is below:
When to arrive at the airport? At least 2 hours ahead of
time.
Carry on Bags. The following baggage rules apply only when
traveling on flights operated by Alaska Airlines and Horizon Air. If
your itinerary includes travel on another airline, please check the
other airline's Web site for their specific baggage rules.
You're allowed one carry-on bag, which can measure up to 10" H x 17" W x
24" L (25 x 43 x 61 cm), plus one personal item, such as a purse,
briefcase or laptop computer. At least one of the items should be stowed
under the seat in front of you.
Important: Keys, medication, and travel documents should always be
packed in your carry-on baggage.
Checked Bags. Passengers traveling on Alaska Airlines and
Horizon Air may check free of charge, one bag with a maximum dimension
of 62 linear inches (length + width + height) and weight of up to 50
pounds.
Passengers checking in with one of our airline partners, or on a
codeshare flight may be subject to additional checked baggage
restrictions. Please check with the operating carrier for more
information regarding their baggage allowance and fees.
Review our
Check-In & Boarding Guidelines to determine the cut off time for
checking baggage.
Traveling with Infants and Children. Traveling with
infants and children can be a fun adventure! To keep infants and
children comfortable, we recommend bringing small "comfort" items in
your carry-on bag, such as a child's security blanket or favorite pillow
and small snacks. The TSA currently has a limit on the amount of liquids
brought through the security checkpoint. Refer to the Traveling with
Kids section of the TSA website for information regarding baby formula,
breast milk, juice and other liquids.
In addition, we recommend bringing small toys, coloring books and
crayons, and/or small electronic devices (such as portable DVD players
with headphones) to help keep children entertained. Refer to our
Onboard Guide for Air Travelers section for details on electronic
items allowed onboard our aircraft.
